Cranberry Seeds Responsible for Omega 3 from CranberriesThe cranberry has been the source of research for years and the claims made regarding the health benefits are plentiful. In fact, it’s been reported cranberries have so many healthy attributes that some have labeled cranberries as superfruit. Recent studies reveal omega 3 from cranberries is the next big thing in the cranberry industry. Cranberry seeds are the source of omega 3 from cranberries. For years, the seeds of the cranberry were considered waste and disposed of. Several researchers discovered these little seeds, the source of omega 3 in cranberries, to be a goldmine of health benefits. So the production of cranberry seed oil began. Several companies produce cranberry oil. This oil is rich in omega 3 from cranberries but is host to many other beneficial compounds. Omega 3 from cranberries has so much potential that manufacturers are considering fortifying their products with this amazing oil. Cranberry oil may soon be a common ingredient in many foods. Cereal and even infant formula manufacturers are considering the advantages of enhancing their products with omega 3 from cranberries. Cranberries grow in temperate northern climates of the US and Canada. Cranberry bushes are hardy perennial vines that grow low to the ground with upright branches. The uprights are where the berries usually form. They like acidic swampy or marshy beds where the sediment is deep. Cranberries love a 2 to 3 inch layer of sand. When grown in the right conditions cranberry bogs have been continually producing fruit for 75 years. Both the Ben Lear and Stevens cranberry is commonly grown in the US. Although all cranberries have seeds which is the source of omega 3 from cranberries, these cranberry varieties are most commonly seen in cranberry bogs from Massachusetts to Oregon. Cranberries are native to all Northern states where they are commercially grown except Oregon. Cranberries are harvested in September and October. Once they are harvested they may be shipped to a processing plant or as some growers do, process the berries themselves. As they are processed for juices, dried fruit and sauces the seeds are removed. Cranberry seeds are the source of Omega 3 from cranberries. Seeds from every North American grower are collected and used in the production of omega 3 from cranberries. Some cranberries will not end up as juice, dried fruit or cranberry sauce. They will be shipped to a manufacturer of healthful products. These companies too remove seeds before processing. Some of these companies will process their own seeds into omega 3 from cranberries. The process that releases the oil from the seed is a cold press extraction method. This method is said to be the reason cranberry oil is mild in flavor with no after taste. This one characteristic is the reason many products will be fortified with omega 3 from cranberries. Omega 3 from cranberries is not only reported to be a great alternative to other omega 3 sources, but soon may be a stand alone product rather than an ingredient. Recent taste tests reveal cranberry oil rich in omega 3 from cranberries has great potential. Cranberry seed oil rich in omega 3 from cranberries may soon be available in supermarkets and health food stores, but before that expect to see products fortified with omega 3 from cranberries. Omega 3 from cranberries is the next great cranberry benefit. Source: With our 5 warehouse distribution system affords our customers the opportunity of the maximum on-time delivery of their orders.
